I'm back from a whirl-wind trip to California, we had a great time (stay tuned, more on that another day). For now I get to share with you those tiny, grainy and pixalated pictures I take throughout the week. Confession, some of these are from the week before we left, don't tell anyone! Are you sitting on the edge of your seat? Brace yourselves, my life is pretty exciting...

Celebrating a wonderful friends Bridal Shower!

This picture cracks me up, mostly because of the story behind it. Everlee stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa T, Grandma thought her PJs were getting a little small (they are, this girl is growing freakishly fast) so they took a little trip and bought some new PJs...these are them...BARELY fits! In fact I told Julie she looks like a little sausage stuffed into them!

Summer storms = DOUBLE RAINBOW! Love God's promises!

After little lunch date with Grandma and GREAT Grandma we had to go spend some time getting soaking wet in the fountain :)

I got to meet my new favorite little person! Miss Adley! Isn't she just beautiful!? Ugh, I just want to eat her up!

On our way to California! She was such a good girl, read the whole time. :)

Since we got back Everlee has been taking 2+ hour naps. I have been in a crafty mood and thought I'd try out this tutorial I found awhile back via Beautifully Rooted. It was fun, fast and a great way to use up scraps!

That was our week around here, told ya I had an exciting life!
Have a Fab Friday!

2-Day Cleanse

I had a few people ask me what cleanse I did last week. I got it out of Women's Health Magazine a couple years ago and I've done it a couple times since then and I really liked how it "reset" my system.

A few things I've learned and love after doing this a few times...
  • Brew a large container of green tea like it suggests and drink it cold (hot would be nice in winter).  I like mine with a little lemon and mint- YUM!
  • DO use their suggestions with how to prepare your food. It doesn't have to be boring!
  • STICK with it! It's only 2 days and you will want to give up on day 2 around 12:47pm but stick with it!
  • If you find yourself getting hungry drink some water or green tea.
  • I love that this isn't a "starve yourself" cleanse. The main foods you will be eating have low calories and high water content which is what helps you loose all that water weight (sounds counter productive huh?!)
  • I would also suggest not doing a hard workout on these days. Instead of doing my normal routine I cut it in half usually.
  • Don't go out and have a crazy high calorie meal the next day (even though you will want to). If you do this you will have just ruined everything you did!
  • Time for a little "TMI"...It's not a cleanse that specifically "cleanses" if you get my drift... so don't feel like you need to stay home for 2 days! Ha!
However, because you drink a lot of green tea you will need to use the ladies room quite a bit because green tea is a diuretic.
I also want to say that I am by no means an expert in nutrition, weight loss or fitness. I just know what works for me. Eating right (and yes Jimmy Johns and Cafe Rio count as 'right') and staying active seem to be the golden ticket for me so I try to stick with it.

This cleanse makes you feel so rejuvenated and it's a good way to restart your system!

Here is the cleanse...yes it says naked in it...sorry about that!
The Look Better Naked 2-Day Cleanse

Just like all weeks, this one flew by! Hence the small number of pictures I have to share with you!

I hope your week was GREAT!

I started this week with a 2-day cleanse. I have been feeling really tired and lethargic the past few weeks. I figured a system detox might be what I needed. It's not a crazy cleanse, it just gets your system back to normal and it works! I feel like I have more energy! Maybe it's all in my head...

It has been seriously hot the past week and being a fair haired and skinned maiden I put the sunscreen on all year round! I found this cute hat at Target for $9! Couldn't pass it up!

This girl has been making me laugh so much lately! This is one of her new "tricks" she likes to try to stand on her head. Weirdo...

Happy Weekend!!

I love summa, summa, summa time! Not so much the heat part, I'm a little dramatic about being hot, but everything else that goes along is pretty swell!

Been craving some homemade lemonade and because my momma gave me some lemons and blueberries...I naturally made blueberry mint lemonade and it was delightful!
My mom bought Everlee this fun pool and we have been out almost every day playing in the water!
This is the look of pure bliss!
Love summer nights!

A little 4th of July spirit thanks to my July Julep box!
Last night I had a little crafting date with my admittedly "not-so-crafty" good friend Jamie. She is due with her first little girl Adley on MONDAY and she asked me to help her jazz up a lamp for Miss Adley's room. I think it turned out pretty cute!
