First Trip!

Greg and I don't travel too often, we love it but with our crazy schedules the last 5 years it's been hard to get outta town, but we had a wonderful opportunity this last weekend to go to our good friend's wedding in Oregon and with our 5 year anniversary coming up this week we decided to make a little mini-vaca out of it! Everlee did wonderful! She slept really great in the hotel and did well in the car. I'm a proud momma!
The weather couldn't have been more perfect either, beautifully green too! Loved every minute, wished we could have stayed a couple more days.
Here is a little snap shot of our first of many vacations as a family of 3 (forgive me, I took a lot of pictures)...

View from our hotel, I highly recommend it! We stayed at The Red Lion on Jantzen Beach.

At the wedding, look at how green it was! Ahh, love it!

Stunning! She was just the picture of beauty!!

They have been waiting a long time for this day! Give the girl a minute :)

Our good friend John, who is the bride's older brother, sang a beautiful song.

Seriously love this girl!

Saturday Market time in Vancouver!

At the zoo, this was her face most of the time to the animals, except the naked mole rat, which she freaked out and started crying...I almost did too. Ugliest animal I've ever seen!

My favorite! Loved this little guy!

We went inside this bird exhibit, they were flying all over landing on everyone. A little scary but these little guys were  beautiful!

Didn't even edit this! They are bright neon! They are so trendy.

Umm, do you see these two? I can't get enough of either of them! :)

A little walk downtown Portland after a yummy dinner!

On our way home we drove right into the biggest rainstorm I've ever seen! We had to walk through it and were dripping wet when we got inside!

On the way home we had to stop at the falls!

That about does it! There are a few funny stories that I'll share another time. All in all it was a much needed getaway for us, after the last month of not being together very much it was so nice to just be together without any distractions!

InstaFriday!

Here we are again, another week gone and I actually took some pictures with my phone this week! Shocking...

How was your week? Mine was trying, I have realized that I really have a problem with patience... yikes! Good thing I have an *almost* 9 month old to help with it right?!?

Spring time in Idaho...Crazy weather one minute, 80+ degrees the next. I love it!

I got to meet my new little friend. Tenley Ruth, born to my good friend Tanna. She is teeny-tiny at 6lbs 6oz & 18.5 inches. Can you smell the goodness?! I was on a little bit of a baby-high and sent Greg a text that said something along the lines of "I'm ready for another baby"....until... I got home :)

This one decided to start pulling herself up onto EVERYTHING. Her favorite...pulling all the DVDs out of the entertainment center...awesome.

Still pretty cute! Look at those legs, honestly I take bites every day! I know I tease and say how rotten she is, but really she is a good baby!

Greg sent me this from his trip up in northern ID. The gal that owns the hotel apparently has a little crush on these boys :) She has made them dinner every night! I think he might stay up there!

What did your week look like?

Everlee- 8 Months

8 Months
Crawling like crazy
Loves music and now is clapping along to the beat
Loves to be outside playing with the dogs

I really like my little friend

Ahh! Monday Nights

Every Monday night we have Young Life at Meridian High. Every Monday night I come home exhausted. Every Monday night I come home with sore cheeks from laughing. Every Monday night I come home with a heart full of hope. Every Monday night I come home amazed at what God can do through this ministry.

Last night was especially encouraging, every year we do a "Senior Club". The seniors are in charge of everything from games, music, prizes and the message at the end of the night.
This group of seniors is particularly special to me because this is the first group that we have seen consistently since their freshman year! It's been so great to see them grow up, struggle, go to prom, and mostly grow in their faith. Some of them didn't know the Lord when they were freshman!

The message last night was so perfect for this group and really it encouraged me because I wish I was like this in high school. Isaac, who was one who didn't know the Lord, gave the message out of Romans. He didn't speak on just one passage, he quoted throughout the whole book but his main message was that we need to be bold in our faith because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Be bold and don't let anything or anyone get in your way.

Romans 8:31-39

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;  we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

It was so humbling. This 17 year old guy is talking to a room of 20+ teenagers telling them to stop caring about what people think and to boldly go and proclaim the Gospel. This is a kid who 4 years ago would have made fun of kids like him. God is crazy good at what he does!
I honestly can tell you that I wasn't too sure about Isaac when he was a freshman. He was one of those kids who could have taken a different path, but God had another plan for him!

It just goes to show that as a leader I just have to continue to pray and let God use me in whatever way He chooses. His plan will come together even without me!

Can you see now why I'm so tired on Tuesdays?!

Keeping my sainty!

When the cats away these are the things keeping this mouse from loosing it!

I've been working on getting back into my workout routine. It's been harder than I thought it would but I've been getting a lot of great ideas on Pinterest...imagine that! I have been pretty consistent with 3-4 days a week. Once Greg comes back I want to start running again.
Top Gear UK is so funny. Greg and I discovered this gem a couple years ago and it's on Netflix. You don't really even need to like or know anything about cars. The British humor is enough for me!
Gilmore Girls is one of my all-time favorite shows. I own all the seasons on DVD, I just pop a disc in while I'm doing things around the house. Love this show, wish it was still on!
THIS cold-brew coffee I've already raved about but it's so yummy and keeping me going. It's scary good. I also drink WAY to much of it during the day.
THIS book...so good. I can usually read a book in a couple days (or one night depending on how good it is!) but for some reason with this book I have found myself only reading a chapter or two at a time because I don't want it to end! Highly recommend it! And can I just say...hello Zac Efron, you have come a long way since High School Musical!
Our church is going through the book of Romans, so I have been doing my devotionals in it as well. It's a powerful book. It's simple yet complex at the same time. Andrea posted yesterday a great reminder from our service on Sunday, it reflects a lot of what I've been struggling with in my life lately. God is good, all the time, regardless of life's circumstances. God is glorified when we struggle and lean on Him.

What keeps you from pulling your hair out?!

InstaFriday!

This week (well really more like 2 weeks) have been a little rough. Greg has been out of town working hard for our family so I have been a single parent for awhile. I'm not a fan but I love that he works so hard for us, even from far away!

I'm linking up with Life Rearranged!

With Greg being out of town we have done a lot of errands and crashing friends houses! Ethan even said, "Why is Jessica coming over AGAIN tonight?!" Love that kid!
By the way, do you SEE that crazy hair! It's like having my own Chia Pet. There is no controlling it.

Thank you Carrie Underwood for coming out with a new album! I read that it's not getting very good reviews, who are these people?! Probably the same people who thought the screen play to Glitter was a good idea.

Lastly, look who decided to start really crawling the minute her dad left town...
I know it's not a camera phone picture but it's still pretty cute!
