Insta-Friday (Faux Style)

You know those grainy, blurry, and pixelated photos that you take during the week? No?! You don't have the worst camera phone on the planet? That's just me... okay nevermind.

Here is my POV this week through that tiny camera...

Our favorite 8 year old made this for Everlee during her dedication at church. It brings me a smile on my face every day as it's hanging on our fridge.
Apparently I can grow things as long as they are in a pretty aqua mason jar sitting on my kitchen window.
I've been hearing about this book for awhile and Kelly let me borrow it and I am not exaggerating when I say that the first few pages already convicted and inspired me! She is an amazing woman and I recommend reading it (even though I'm not done :) )

I took Everlee out to my mom's the other morning. This right here is why I love living in Idaho A few miles outside of town, no one on the road, windows down, farmers watering, and if you can see in the mirror a crop dusting plane was flying all around. I felt like I was driving through a country song. Beautiful!

Ten months! Wow! 
Just really can't believe in 2 short months our little girl is going to be a year old. 
She has so much personality, to say we adore her would be an understatement!

Pulling herself up and walking along furnature 
She will stand by herself until she realizes she isn't holding on

Insta-Friday

Hurray for Friday! You are finally here!
My phone is starting to get over it's drama and acting better, it still takes crummy pictures but who cares!!

Hurray for Andrea and Ethan! Best way to start the day!
I walked past Kimber on our best at least 5 times the other day...still didn't see here sleeping in between all those pillows!
Hurray for THIS breakfast TWICE this week!! 
Hurray for summer! So this isn't technically my picture (obviously- notice how clear the picture is?!) Andrea took this at little swimmers on Thursday. She LOVED the pool!
This isn't a phone pic either but I thought it was funny and since my friend Jessie is having a baby as I type I thought it would be appropriate! Welcome to the world baby boy!

Father's Day Weekend

This weekend was such a wonderful weekend! I'm usually a little weird about Father's Day, but with Greg now being a Dad himself it was a whole different story! And any excuse I get to celebrate how awesome he is, is a bonus.

Everlee got him a book (Glenn Beck's new book 'Cowards') because he just needs another reason to be angry at the government- ha! She also got him a bonsai tree, random I know. For as long as I've known Greg he has always thought they were really cool. What Everlee didn't know was that having a bonsai tree is like having another child in the house. This thing is HIGH MAINTENANCE, seriously, it needs more love and affection than Everlee and I put together! Needless to say, he thinks it's pretty cool, which is just another reason why I love the nerd I married!

On Sunday at church we also were excited to participate in a baby dedication. Pretty cool that it fell on Father's Day this year! Greg and I have been talking for weeks on what passage/verse to read at her dedication. We wanted to focus it on God's promises the Bible is all about His promises so how do we decide which would fit for the baby dedication...we prayed and prayed about it. Greg and I agreed that Psalm 127 was perfect for us.

"Unless the Lord builds the house,
    those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
    the watchman stays awake in vain. 
 It is in vain that you rise up early
    and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
    for he gives to his beloved sleep.

We chose this because we want Everlee to believe, trust and rely on God and His promises. We want Everlee to not to be ashamed of what she believes. God knows the plans for her life and we are just blessed to be apart of that plan!

After we went home and took a nap, our Sunday tradition, we got ready to spend the evening with some family. We went downtown and took a long walk on the greenbelt and then to Fancy Freeze for ice cream (or a burger and fries for the lactose intolerant).

SPH is a must for both of us, it just doesn't look very glamorous putting it on...









HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Do me a favor...


If you have a brother or sister, tell them you love them today. 

Even if it's a text, email, facebook message, or phone call, tell them you love them (even if you don't really like them today). 


They probably already know you love them but sometimes in the business of life you don't know when the next time you'll see or talk to them again. And who doesn't like to be told you're loved?!


So just do it...even if they are driving you nuts! :)

Friday Favorites

I usually post for 'faux' insta-friday but since my phone is slowly dying and I'm too cheap to get a new one and have been to sick this week to deal with it I've decided to do a Friday Favorites post :)

I've had a lot of time snuggling on the couch with my favorite 9 month old, watching tv and browsing the internet... productive no?!

Favorite Recipe
Because I've been under the weather I've done my go-to dinners, but I did buy some artichokes at the store that I knew were going to go back if I didn't find something do to with them. A few clicks and I found this recipe. So yummy and didn't need any extra dipping sauce (because lets face it, eating whole artichokes is just an excuse to eat a lot of mayo-yuck!)

Favorite Summer Project
Everlee's room has this awkward space behind her door. It's too small for decorations but it's big enough just to be weird. Then, viola, I found this... I think this will be a perfect summer project!

Favorite "to-buy" Item
Most of what I find on the internet is for me to craft, cook or clean. I've had these on my list to buy Everlee. I realize she isn't even a year but how cute would these be for her room?!

Favorite Laugh
There was a lot of feeling sorry for myself this week...but laughing makes everything better right?! I watched a lot of YouTube, Jim Gaffigan's Mr. Universe (again), The Office, and searched "Ha" on Pinterest....

Insta-Friday, one is the loneliest number

I'm sad I only have one picture to share this week, I have more but it might spoil some surprises for a couple parties we are having this weekend. But it's a pretty good representation of what our week looked like!

I'm eating my words when I said, "I can't wait until she crawls!" Because about 15.5 seconds after she started to crawl she also decided to pull herself up on EVERYTHING! Sheesh give your momma some time to adjust would ya?!

She also can destroy a newly cleaned room in under 10 seconds...awesome. I'm thinking these leash mom's aren't looking so silly. 

Oh, Bee Tea Dub (which is how Greg texts me BTW weirdo). We had her 9 month appointment last week, she has shockingly only gained 2 pounds since her 6 month appointment, she did grow a few inches to level her "percentages" out. Do you know what the doctor said to us? Wait for it...

Doctor K: "Why don't you come back in in a few weeks for a weight check to make sure she is on track."

Me: "Umm, do you SEE those thighs?! I think she has 3 ankles right now"

Doctor K: "That is true, still come back in if you think of it"

Me: "Right, okay...we'll do that"

Insta-Friday!

I missed my insta-friday post last week because we were on a little vacation in beautiful Portland, so here are a few from our week!

Last day in Portland. Walking around downtown on daddy's shoulders. She would smile and wave at people walking by...such a ham!
Our evening walk was extra beautiful the other night! I secretly love this house, I walk by it twice during our walk. Its a little run down but I love it!

FINALLY 2 years after planting this beast she decided to bloom!

LOVES to sit in the window in the mornings and watch the birds get worms! 
Well that wasn't very entertaining but that is our life! I'm more than pleased with it! :)
