Orchard Outing

Being at home is such a blessing, it allows me to take care of our home but it also gives me the opportunity to be around family more! Especially the best GREAT aunt in the world! Who, by the way, is really talented with a sewing machine, check out her goodies!

She is quite the "domesticated diva" (she doesn't know I call her that, but take my word for it this momma knows what she is doing!)

I mentioned to her I wanted to learn to can and with it being apple season we took a little trip to a local orchard a couple weeks ago to pick up some apples and pumpkins. I meant to take some pictures but I forgot to put the SD card back into my camera before we left, I'd like to say this was a one-time mistake but it's happened A LOT! I would have also liked to post some pictures of me actually canning but again, forgot to document the process!

At any rate, I'm stealing pictures of the orchard trip from Andrea...
Something about this picture just makes me smile, can't you just smell the crisp fall air?
Ugh, don't you just love fall! It's my FAVORITE season!
I feel like I look like a witch in this picture but I still love this picture of me and my favorite 7 year old! :)
She's pretty enthusiastic about the pumpkins!
Such a proud cousin!

Well, good morning, would you like to join the rest of us?!
I'm sad we didn't get a picture of all of us but who wants to see the adults when you have 2 cute kids with you, right?
I made some applesauce, apple butter, apple juice, apple cider, and an apple crumple dessert! Shockingly I still had HALF a box...then my lovely mother gave me another huge box of apples. So we all know what I'll be doing next week! I'll make sure to take some pictures too!

Happy Fall!!

Actually it's Seriously Amazing...My Life!

I've noticed I say these 3 words A LOT (You've probably noticed too)!

But seriously...
I do have an AMAZING life! Sometimes I just need to be reminded!

Since my last pitiful blog post God has calmed my heart. He also gave me an awesome husband and pretty wonderful women to give me some advice and help me out.
I tend to over-think everything and worry when there isn't even anything to worry about! Anyone else like me?! I've realized I need to just chill out and let God work. ACTUALLY...I needed some help from my husband to remind me that I'm like this.

I have a great opportunity to help out and work from home. Greg and I decided that it would be a good idea to at least give it a try. So I've started my first week working part-time from home. It's quite an adjustment for me and also for those I work with. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be (it's only been a few days though). I think if I stick to my guns and get organized it will be even easier. The 4 hours a day seems to go pretty fast, which is nice. Anything is worth trying right?!

I think I'm going to hang this in my "home office"... He is on my side, why worry so much?

I'll hang this one right next to it...

Next time you hear me stressing about something...please just tell me to chill out. I'm going to give myself an ulcer!

Pity Party of One

I've always prided myself in being "tough" and to not show too much negative emotion... but this week has been rough. Not for any particular reason, it's just been one of those weeks. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?! If I can be a little transparent...

I've been loving staying home with my little girl. With the days getting closer to the 8 weeks I told my work I'd take off for maternity leave, I'm getting really emotional about going back, even on a part-time basis. I'm frustrated with the way I let myself get so worried about my job. It's just a job and now I have a more important one. I also am frustrated by the way they depend on me too much. This may sound funny because I think we all like to be depended on, but it gets old sometimes.
Does anyone ever wish God would give you the solution so easily you don't have any other question as to what to do?!
Whew...okay enough with that...just had to get it off my chest! But seriously...would you want to leave this little one at all??
She is at her first Meridian High Volleyball game... not to sure she is enjoying it.

I caught them napping together, Greg said he was going to put her in her room and later I find them here! :)
