After an hour of being pushed, bounced, prodded and measured the ultrasound tech said...it's a GIRL! Tears and cheers filled that little dark room and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! Everything looks great, she is happy and healthy. I was lucky enough to have Greg, Julie and my mom in the room to experience that surprise, I'm not sure who was more excited, me or them! I'm shocked by the technology these days, how cool is it that they can zoom in and see all 4 chambers of the heart, each bone in the hands, feet and spine. It's just amazing. After the shock wore off I asked Greg how he felt about having a girl and he said, "I've been secretly wishing for a little girl, because too many girls don't have good relationships with their dads" Seriously?! Thank you Lord for giving me this man!
Here is a little sweetness to share with you...
I know that this is just the beginning of an incredible ride! I'm so blessed to have a wonderful husband and great family around me to enjoy every minute.
Oh!! Since the Great Auntie Andrea was the only one to guess a girl she gets some sweetness from me in the form of a Starbucks gift card, and from the month she has had I think she deserves it!! :)

Mushy Monday
I'm not the biggest mushy-gushy person but lately this guy has really been melting my heart...
No! Not him... even though he is precious...I mean honestly, are you seeing the cuteness?!
Yup! That's him! Look at that freckly face (if our kid has freckles my heart will be so happy!) He has always been wonderful to me but lately I have just been overwhelmed by what a great man God has given me! I have come to really love his need to over plan, love of all things organizational, Drudge Report obsession, weird underground music, and a constant interest in the History and Discovery Channel!
Although my pregnancy has been blessedly smooth I have totally slacked on a few of my...dare I say..."womanly" duties. Yet, I come home and the dishes are put away, the bathroom is clean, the laundry is done, and most times I have a cup of tea waiting for me! Now, I don't take care of our finances but I'm pretty sure he would never pay a maid and I don't think he has hired Young Life kids to put away my "un-mentionables" to pay for camp. He is amazing to say the least, and I kind of like him a lot.
I was thinking today while driving home about all these things and how blessed I am to have such a wonderful man in my life and this song came on the radio, I teared up a little and it made me think of all the fun we have had the last 8 years together and how much more will come! You'll have to pardon my love of twang for a couple minutes but this song just made me smile...
Okay, enough mush...but seriously...give your hubby a smootch tonight because despite the flaws we all have God gave us one another right?!

Decisions, Decisions...
*Warning* This is a random post!
Greg and I decided a few months ago to start saving for a "nicer" camera. We love our point and shoot but with the baby coming we thought it would be nice to have something that would capture really good quality photos.
This whole camera/photography world is a little scary. ISO, CMOS sensor, aperture...you may as well be speaking a different language! The only thing I understood before was Megapixels, HD Video and the price tag, oh and that I get to buy a adorable Knitty Bitties camera strap! I'm starting to get a better understanding and with some research (what would we do without the internet- that Al Gore really knew what he was doing, am I right?!) and with some help from a very talented photographer and good friend Jamie Hudson
I think we have it narrowed down.
They are both really similar in price and capability. There is a pretty big learning curve since all I've used is a little point and shoot but I think I can do it! Now we just have to make the decision...Do any of you have any suggestions? What do you like/dislike about your cameras? I'm open to hearing opinions!!
Well that was a pretty boring post...my apologies...onto something a little more fun...
Another decision coming soon...in 9 days we get to find out if this little one is a HE or a SHE!
This picture just makes him/her look like a gummy bear but trust me this little person has arms and legs that are doing cartwheels right on my bladder now, and I know it's only the beginning!
Well, I think we should have a good ol' fashioned guessing game... You have a week to decide if I'm having a boy or a girl, for those who guess right I'll put your name in for a little sumthin' sumthin'! Just comment on this post and I'll come back on the 28th and post the winner!
Even though every pregnancy is different I've heard A LOT of different ways you can apparently tell if you are having a boy or a girl...heart beat, cravings...etc. Here are some things that might help you guess!
Heartbeat: Between 152 and 154
Cravings: Anything salty and eggs- which is not entirely different from my non-pregnant cravings!
Skin: No breakouts, my skin has pretty clear actually.
Morning Sickness: None! Don't hate me...I feel really blessed to have not been sick at all.
There are some other pretty personal ones that I'll spare you the details on...but those are the ones that seem to be ones people ask most about.
The next decision will be...NAMES! Seriously, did anyone else think this was a hard decision or is it just me? It's a lot of pressure!
I think that is enough randomness for a day! Weekend here I come!

A Little Tuesday Giggle
I love to laugh, honestly I try my best to laugh every day. It's best when it's a full-out, tummy hurting, tears running type of laugh! Luckily I get to work with 2 of my best friends, and let me tell you, we can laugh until we nearly fall out of our seats sometimes! Do you know what I'm talking about?
I'm not sure I can even categorize my humor...some people have a very dry sense of humor and other people like slap-stick. Depending on my mood and who I'm around I can laugh at anything!
This weekend I caught a little bit of SNL and saw this sketch with Zach Galifianakis. I've watched it at least 3 times since Saturday night and it makes me chuckle each time!
