Pomp and Circumstance

Yesterday was a day we have been waiting for a long time! Greg graduated with honors in Civil Engineering from BSU!!! Wahoo!!

Words cannot express how proud I am of him. He has worked so hard these last few years, they have been filled with sacrifice, stress, tears (from me) and frustration but all that hard work has paid off and I do have to say it seems like it's gone by fast!

When Greg called me this week and said he was done with his last final I almost started to cry and then we laughed because he said, "What should I do now?!" I said go home and just "chill", he couldn't remember the last time he could actually do that! I then come home from work and he had mowed the lawn and cleaned the house...really Greg?! Don't you know the meaning of "chill". I think he was just excited to do something that wasn't homework related.

Although the commencement was a bit long and liberal for my taste it was still very emotional and exciting seeing Greg go through the whole process...

WAHOO!! Look at that smile! Finally!
With a little move to the left and a LOT of time and $$ later he graduated! :)

After we got to spend some wonderful time with family and friends. Without the help and support from them, the last few years would have been a lot harder. The phrase 'Thank You' doesn't seem like enough...
Greg's Grandparents from California came over to celebrate and it's been a great weekend with them! Wish we could see them more often, they are so much fun to be around!
Greg and I have been blessed to have these two! They have loved us more than we deserve!

Proud moment for any parent! I can't tell you how lucky we are to have these two in our lives! They did a wonderful job raising their two boys and I hope that we can be half the parents they are!

Yesssss!! That's pretty much all I was thinking all day long!!!
Look closely...yeah...only the cake that we would get would be done incorrectly, it was really good never the less.

Sorry Megan I had too, to cute of a face to pass up!

Whew! What a weekend! I can hardly believe it's come and gone! Now what...the job search is still on but we know God will provide for us just like He has all these years! He's pretty good when it comes to that :)
For now, Greg is blessed to have a full time job with St. Luke's as well as a full time research project with the Idaho Transportation Department which will probably end close to September. Until then we are just going to keep preparing for our little girl and enjoy this new season in life that DOESN'T include homework! Can I get an Amen?!

  3. Hurray!! I know what a wonderful feeling of relief it is to put the classroom behind you! Way to work through it all ... it isn't easy being married and one going to school full time, but it makes you work harder at making your marriage work. You guys are doing great!
I can't wait to see how God provides next!
    So proud you!
